Appointments
What to know before you schedule an appointment
Before scheduling an advising appointment, it’s important to understand your advising team and which person can best answer your questions.
CSE students can schedule appointments with their academic advisors and faculty mentors for support with:
- Course selection and academic planning
- Academic difficulties and support resources
- Registration holds from their advising unit
- Approval of academic planning forms, such as those required for ROTC
- Academic policies and procedures
- Engagement opportunities related to personal interests or career goals
- Connection to campus wellbeing resources
- Extenuating circumstances in their life
The format of these advising services varies between pre-major advising and departmental advising offices. See the information below to schedule an appointment with your CSE advising unit.
If you need help scheduling an appointment, email your assigned advisor. You can find your assigned advisors in the MyU Academics tab. This may include your CSE college academic advisor or departmental college advisor; faculty mentor; honors advisor (if you’re in the University Honors Program); and athletics advisor (if you’re a student-athlete).
Drop-in or just-in-time advising is also available to address brief or time-sensitive questions.
