Celebrate Earth Day with doughnuts, native seeds and the Artificial Intelligence Hub (AI Hub). The AI Hub will host an interactive open house on Wednesday, April 22, 8:30 a.m.-noon, Walter Library, exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and environmental sustainability.
To celebrate the University of Minnesota's 175th anniversary, students are invited to help create a commemorative ice cream flavor! Whether it's inspired by the University’s "North Star" roots or a favorite campus tradition, CFANS wants to hear your ideas. Share your flavor name and concept by Wednesday, April 22.

For more than 10 years, College of Science and Engineering students have collaborated with communities in Tanzania and a Minnesota nonprofit to design water systems. Students are invited to learn more about planning for the Winter Break 2026-27 group, speak with faculty and get their questions answered at this information session on Monday, April 20, 1-2 p.m., Lind Hall.
Join fellow CSE students in celebrating CSE Week 2026, a tradition that dates back to 1914. Organized by Plumb Bob committee of the Science and Engineering Student Board, the week features events designed to bring students together. Enjoy lunch events Monday–Thursday in the Lind Hall Courtyard (and on the Knoll on Wednesday), then wrap up the week at a Friday festival with food, games, live music and student group exhibitors.
Network with world-class industry innovators and learn about the latest research in medical device design and manufacturing at the annual Design of Medical Devices Conference on Monday, April 20-Wednesday, April 22, McNamara Alumni Center. Discounted student registration rates.
Upcoming deadlines
In honor of Pride Month, the Bell Museum at the University of Minnesota is highlighting the scientific contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community at the University. The museum celebrates Pride and showcases the work of LGBTQIA+ scientists, researchers and allies during Spotlight Science: SciPride, a public program held at the Bell Museum on Saturday, June 20.
Applications are now being accepted for 9 Minnesota Section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE-MN) fall scholarships for engineering and computer science students at schools in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The application deadline is Friday, May 8.
The Nordson BUILDS Scholarship Program is accepting applications from students majoring in STEM or business fields who are interested in a career in manufacturing. BUILD scholarships range between $4,000 and $10,000. The application deadline is Friday, May 15.
