CSE Career Services offers a wide variety of workshops to help you prepare for the Fall 2026 CSE Career Fair.

Drop-in Hours
CSE Career Services will offer the following in-person drop-in hours in Lind Hall 105. Drop-ins can be used for resumes, cover letters, Handshake and career fair preparation:
- Tuesday, Sept. 8- Friday, Sept. 18: 2-4 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 21: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
- Thursday, Sept. 24- Friday, Sept. 25: 2-4 p.m

International Student Career Fair Prep Virtual Workshop

Presenters from International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and Career Services will provide helpful tips and information on what to expect at a career fair, how to talk with employers, work authorization options, and strategies for successful interactions and follow-up. This session is designed with the needs of University of Minnesota (UMN) international students attending fall career fairs in mind, although anyone in the UMN community is welcome to attend.

Whether you are applying for an internship, co-op, or full-time job, the interview is one of the most important parts of the application process. This workshop will allow you to practice interviewing using strategies to answer some of the most commonly asked interview questions. You will engage with employers and peers in this interactive workshop.

Get a head start on the recruiting season by connecting with CSE Career Fair sponsor employers in a casual, low-pressure setting. This is a great chance to learn more about the companies attending the fair, ask questions, and get tips from CSE Career Services — all between classes.
Boston Scientific, Epic, Travelers, Emerson, Land O'Lakes, Alliant Engineering, SICK, Medtronic, Polaris, and more will be there.
Stop by to:
- Meet employers before the fair (no resume required!)
- Get career fair tips from CSE Career Services.
- Pick up a donut while you chat.
- Enter to win a free CSE-branded padfolio by interacting with employers — perfect for career fair day or interviews.
Come as you are — no need to dress up. Just drop in, say hi, and get a jump-start on your internship, co-op, or job search. Several students who attended last year landed roles with the employers they met — you could be next!

Don’t use an actual interview to practice your interview skills! Practice your interview skills via Zoom with a REAL employer before the big interview. Virtual interviews are 30 minutes followed by 15 minutes of feedback. Sign up early as spots are limited.
