CSE Day of Service — The Works Museum

Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018

The registration deadline for this event has passed.

Kick off Homecoming Week by participating in the University of Minnesota Day of Service. CSE will host service activities at The Works Museum. Children 16 and older are welcome.

Volunteers will help museum staff with a variety of cleaning projects after the busy summer season. This could include cleaning exhibits and classrooms, project material clean-up and organization, and other projects that will be determined at the close of the summer.

If you don’t live in the Twin Cities metro area, Day of Service activities will be held simultaneously across the country and at some international locations.

Hear from new Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Lindsay Whalen, Alumni Association President and CEO Lisa Lewis, and University President Eric Kaler. Stay for the coronation of the Homecoming Royalty, an appearance by Goldy Gopher, the Spirit Squads, and the alumni band.

Chemical Engineering and Materials Science Homecoming Celebration

Reconnect with current and former CEMS faculty members and your alumni peers. Class of 1978, David and Barbara Yarusso and Jeffrey Schott will serve as hosts for this special 40-year reunion. All guests will enjoy lab tours, a 3-D printer maker space in the Valspar Lab, demonstrations by CEMS student groups, and research updates. Then, join CEMS alumni and friends for the Homecoming football game in a dedicated block of seats as the Golden Gophers take on the University of Iowa Hawkeyes.
