Sizing and Positioning
Place the College of Science and Engineering logo in a prominent location on the piece. The CSE logo should be sized to ensure legibility and prominence within the page—it should never be smaller than 150 pixels wide.
Leave a buffer space the height of the letter “N” in the University of Minnesota wordmark between the logo and other graphic elements or the edge of the page/screen, and between elements within a wordmark/unit logo.
CSE Marketing and Communications can assist you in developing an approved U-compliant unit logo.
Improper Uses
- The size of the ampersand and text must never be altered in relation to one another.
- The wordmark’s ratio between height and width must never be changed.
- The colors of the wordmark must always be used in either black and white or University colors.
- Never use a screen capture or low quality version of the logo.
- The wordmark must have good contrast with the background color in order to ensure maximum impact and accessibility. Do not use a maroon logo on black or a gold logo on white.
