D&I Alliance: Education and Professional Development Action Team

The education and professional development action team explores DEI educational and professional opportunities for all members of the CSE community.

Recent accomplishments include:

  • Coordinated an opportunity for faculty, staff, and graduate students to audit the Gopher Equity Project
  • Hosted an Implicit Bias and Microaggressions Workshop
  • Continued to create diversity and inclusivity moments

Goals for 2022-23:

  • Identify and implement metrics for measuring effectiveness of educational and professional development activities
  • Implement training for teaching assistants (TAs) or graduate student orientation that includes content provided by the Office for Equity and Diversity (OED)
  • Broadly share diversity and inclusivity moments across the college via the Alliance website
