Global Health Faculty Funding & Info session for Humanitarian Crisis Simulation

Join organizers of the 2019 Humanitarian Crisis Simulation for this talk and information session. Course co-instructor Eric James will give a presentation on humanitarianism and the foundations of humanitarian response including a bit of history, important elements of coordination and key standards. Course Director Sarah Kesler will give an overview of the Humanitarian Crisis Simulation which is occurring on May 17 to 19.

In this 48-hour immersive learning experience, participants play the role of humanitarian aid workers or volunteer responders in a simulated international humanitarian crisis, where they learn the foundations of humanitarian response, and apply concepts in the simulation through active teamwork, intense interaction with role-players, and on-the-spot decision-making.

Potential participants, volunteers, and anyone interested in learning more about humanitarian response welcome to join. Feel free to bring your lunch.
