JCPenney Suit-Up Event
This event helps you get discounted career clothing. It is open to current University of Minnesota undergraduate and graduate students, their families, and alumni.
Are you in need of professional attire? The University of Minnesota Career Services has partnered with JCPenney for a special event for University of Minnesota students and alumni.
This special shopping event is free, and attendees will receive an additional 30 percent off already discounted prices on all professional clothing and accessories.
Register in GoldPASS.
Registration is strongly encouraged.
Those who register will be eligible to win one of four $25 JCPenney gift cards.
If possible, bring your UCard for identification.
JCPenney will be closed to the public during this event. JCPenney staff and University of Minnesota Career Services staff will be there to help you choose the perfect attire.
Those who needs sizes that are not in stock at this event will be able to place an online order at the store during the event.
About the event
In addition to 30 percent off career clothing and accessories, attendees can receive:
- Free mini makeovers and samples at Sephora
- Free hair consultation at JCPenney Salon
- Professional headshots starting at $29.99 at the JCPenney Portrait Studio
Some fun new additions this year include a DJ and snacks!
Free bus transportation
Bus transportation will be provided to and from Lilly Plaza on the East Bank (outside of Northrop). Buses will leave every 20 minutes, starting at 5:40 p.m. The last bus will depart Lilly Plaza at 8:30 p.m. The final bus will leave JCPenney at 9:20 p.m. You may also arrange your own transportation. The event entrance is on the north side of JCPenney (look for the red JCPenney canopy).
