Prof. Soon publishes special issue of EASTS
MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL (January 2025) — Earlier this winter, Associate Professor Wayne Soon and colleagues from Leiden University; Seoul National University; University of California, Davis; University of Washington, Seattle; Temple University, Japan; and Stetson University, came together and published a special issue of the journal East Asian Science Technology and Society (EASTS).
The issue, titled "New Histories of Health Insurance, Medicine, and Society in East and Southeast Asia," focuses on health insurance, medicine, and society in Asia. It also includes Soon's own peer- reviewed article titled "Health Insurance, Medicine, and Society in Taiwan: Chinese Authoritarianism, Taiwanese Ethnicities, and Global Actuarial Science,” which is available on open-access.
