I am an account manager for Bloomberg LP in Beijing. My clients are all in wealth management banking and use the Bloomberg Terminal to monitor the market.  I help them build holistic trading and portfolio management solutions. For me, a highlight of the MFM program was having immediate access to a large and supportive instructor and alumni network. From my instructors and practitioner alumni, I learned about the ways quants deal with the market, and the problem solving, modeling and technical programming skills they use on the job every day. The weekly seminars, career events and informational meetings prepared me well to work with my Bloomberg customers –portfolio managers, investment strategists and traders. The program referred me to many alumni, already working back home, who mentored me as I prepared to enter the job market in Beijing. I have many long-lasting relationships with MFM alumni in China; we stay connected to each other and the program as officers/members of University of Minnesota Alumni groups in China.
