Addressing Racial Inequities in Health Outcomes During COVID and Beyond

Free Webinar • Open to the Public

The University of Minnesota Human Rights Lab invites you to our next "Envisioning the Future" webinar, "Addressing Racial Inequities in Health Outcomes During COVID and Beyond" on Wednesday, June 24 (1-2 pm CT / 2-3 pm ET.)

Recognizing that structural racism and inequalities have always had devastating impacts on the health of Black Americans, these disparate health outcomes have become even more apparent in the COVID-19 era. We are thrilled to have United Nations Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, Dr. E. Tendayi Achiumi kick off this critical discussion, with additional remarks provided by Dr. Rachel Hardeman (University of Minnesota) and Dr. Sirry Alang (Lehigh University).

The webinar is free, open to the public, and accessible via Zoom at z.umn.edu/EFwebinar.

We invite you to pass this invitation along to colleagues, students, and partners within your networks.

The "Envisioning the Future: Advancing Human Rights in a Time of Crisis" webinar series is organized by the University of Minnesota Human Rights Lab and Center for Global Health & Social Responsibility and co-sponsored by the Institute for Global Studies
