Behind the Scenes at the Minnesota State Fair

The CSE Alumni Society Board has partnered with the Minnesota State Fair Foundation to provide CSE alumni and donors with insider access to some recent and upcoming construction projects in the livestock area of the fairgrounds. Brett Morse, Government Market Manager at TKDA, will be on hand to discuss the various projects and the special considerations that go into maintaining the Minnesota State Fair's historic buildings and infrastructure, which sit dormant for much of the year but must be ready to receive over a million visitors each August.


Event Itinerary:

We wi
ll meet at the FFA Chapter House for check-in, welcome remarks, and light dinner.

We will then explore some of the livestock areas of the fairgrounds, including:
  • The Welcome Wall at Gate 9 - new this year and currently under construction
  • Lee & Rose Warner Coliseum - a multi-year re-roofing project is about to begin and will be discussed
  • Cattle Barn - the 2019 roof collapse and subsequent renovation will be discussed
PLEASE NOTE: This event will include walking short distances and periods of standing without access to seating.

CSE Alumni Society Board members will also be on hand to tell you about the Board's mission, upcoming alumni events, and additional ways you can connect with the college, other alumni, and current students.
