Decreasing DFW Rates and Increasing Persistence
The Department of Computer Science has achieved a remarkable feat in reducing DFW rates (Drop, Fail, and Withdraw) from 40% to nearly 10% over the past years in their introductory classes. Moreover, they have effectively retained these students in subsequent years. We would like to invite you to join us for an engaging event where one of the professors who led this effort will share valuable strategies on how they accomplished this and offer insights on how you can adapt these methods for your department.
