Mathematics Lunch and Learn: Localization of Waves

RSVP Required

Please join us on campus or virtually for a special lunch talk featuring McKnight Presidential Professor, Svitlana Mayboroda, and her Simons Foundation funded research on the "Localization of Waves." This exciting new work on the mysterious behavior of waves has applications from design of semiconductors to more efficient LED lighting. Members of Professor Mayboroda's team have won a Nobel Prize (Alain Aspect) and a Fields Medal (H. Duminil-Copin) in 2022!

Come hear more in a light and engaging conversation with Professor Mayboroda and Professor and Head Ben Brubaker and connect with friends and alumni of the School of Mathematics. Lunch will be provided for in-person guests.
