Saturday Morning Math
Registration Required
The Math Center for Educational Programs (MathCEP) hosts Saturday Morning Math four times during the academic year, where middle school students explore mathematics and its scientific applications through hands-on learning, activities, and games!
For our January session, fifth and sixth grade students will learn how geometric objects can lead to number patterns. They will also explore perfect, square, and triangular numbers, and investigate their connections to other real-world problems. Sixth and seventh grade students will play games, such as Vector Golf, to learn about the properties of vectors and how they model real-world situations such as wind or motion.
