Make sure to save the date for important events such as the CSE Virtual Experiences, Future Gopher Admitted Days, and special CSE departmental sessions. If attending in person requires additional planning, we suggest giving yourself ample time to fully participate and get the most out of each experience.

3. It’s never too early to apply for on-campus housing

Encourage your student to apply for housing early—there's no need to wait for an admission decision or enrollment confirmation. Applying early increases your student’s chances of securing their first housing preference. University housing offers a variety of options to suit your student’s needs, from residence halls to apartments, each fostering a vibrant and inclusive community. Spots fill up quickly, so getting a head start on the application can make all the difference in securing the ideal living arrangement.

4. Review financial aid and scholarship opportunities

Review the financial aid package and scholarship options to understand the financial investment and support available. CSE and the University of Minnesota offer merit-based scholarships, grants, and work-study programs to help make education affordable. Knowing the available financial resources can bring peace of mind and assist with the decision-making process.
