Anderson Design Lab
Location: Mechanical Engineering, Room 2-134
Go to this lab for: 3D printing, laser cutting, electronics prototyping, and help getting started if you don't know what you need!
Features: 3D printers, laser cutters, electronics tools (soldering irons, PCB mill, power supply, oscilloscope, multimeters, microscope, reflow oven, etc.), small machine shop, flexible workbench space, computers, hand tools, sewing machine, vacuum forming, project storage.

Anderson Build Lab
Location: Civil Engineering, Room 335
Go to this lab for: Welding, wood working, and 3D printing.
Features: 3D printers, 3D scanners, 30 kN tensile/compression testing load frame, soldering iron, CNC router, welding shop, wood shop, metal shop.
This space is often used as a classroom and a meeting space for student organizations, so it isn't always accessible.

Polaris Student Machine Shop
Location: Mechanical Engineering, Room 176
Go to this lab for: Metal working and manufacturing design advice.
Features: Waterjet cutter, manual and CNC milling machines, manual and CNC lathes, grinders, sandblasting cabinet, band saws, presses, precision measurement tools, and more.
Summer 2026 hours:
- Monday - Friday: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
No appointment is necessary. Waterjet access is walk-in ONLY over the summer.
