The issue that matters most to physicists is climate change, above research funding. What is the evidence for their concern? Is the average surface temperature of the earth increasing? If so, what are the drivers? Is there a “human fingerprint” on climate change? What are the prospects for the future, both near and long term? This Colloquium will address these questions, and suggest some things we can do.
