Conversations about Sexual Harassment Awareness within CSE: A discussion with Dr. Frazier Benya

Free for UMN Student/Faculty/Staff• Registration Required

As some of you may know, the College of Science and Engineering recently formed a Diversity and Inclusion Alliance comprised of students, faculty, and staff from throughout the college. The goal is to improve the climate, diversity, and inclusion within the college. The Alliance brings members of the CSE community together to discuss issues and develop action plans. If you’d like to join others in this mission, complete the CSE Diversity and Inclusion Alliance membership form. This will be a great opportunity to hear first-hand from Dr. Frazier Benya who was director of a 2018 National Academies Consensus Study Report on Sexual Harassment of Women: Climate, Culture, and Consequences in Academic Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Benya will put this report within the context of CSE and provide specific recommendations for how our community can improve climate and prevent harassment. A Q&A will follow the presentation.  All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Refreshments provided.
