Orientation

Complete the New Student Checklist

Once you have confirmed your enrollment, you should complete the New Student Checklist as soon as possible. Access to the New Student Checklist is granted in early April or after you have paid your confirmation fee to the University of Minnesota, whichever is later. Please note, confirmation fees are not processed after business hours or on weekends, and access to the Checklist can take up to 48 hours once the fee is processed.

What to expect

During the CSE portion of orientation, you’ll connect with a CSE peer leader, explore the Anderson Innovation Lab, and learn about student involvement and career resources. You’ll also meet with your academic advisor, prepare for registration, and sign up for your first semester of classes. Your CSE experience will wrap up with a campus tour and optional help with course registration.

Stay up-to-date

The University of Minnesota Twin Cities communicates almost exclusively through your official UMN student email account. Important updates, deadlines, and opportunities are sent there—be sure to check your email at least once a week to stay informed and on track.
