International internships, research, and service

Students in the College of Science and Engineering often volunteer for service organizations or land international internships. These opportunities don’t provide academic credits, but they can change your life and the lives of others.

International internships

Through the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE), students in technical degrees can complete paid, course-related training abroad. Most traineeships take place in the summer, although longer periods are also available. Past industry placements include Austria, Brazil, China, Sweden, and Scotland.

International research

Each year, CSE students pursue competitive international research appointments to expand their skill sets, gain global perspectives, and create a broad professional network. These appointments usually take place in the summer. Recent destinations have included Germany, Korea, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland, India, Japan, Portugal, and China.

Student groups
