How did you get involved with SASE?

I got first involved in SASE as a freshman by going to their events to eat free Asian food. From there, I found an amazing community that uplifts Asian heritage STEM students that supported me and taught me valuable professional development skills.

Why are you involved with SASE?

I'm involved because I want to give back to SASE what SASE has given to me: the opportunity to grow as a leader and student as well as the loving community that I am a part of. I want to do this by growing SASE past our potential through new initiatives that are focused on benefiting and being meaningful to our members as well as our greater communities.

What is the goal or mission of your student organization?

SASE aims to prepare Asian heritage scientists and engineers for success in the global business world, celebrate diversity on campuses and in the workplace, and provide opportunities for members to make contributions to their local communities.

How can interested students get involved with SASE?

Come join us for our first event of the school year: SASE's Ice Cream Social This is an opportunity to learn more about SASE, enjoy ice cream floats, and interact with our board members one on one. It'll be held on Sept. 9th, 2021 from 6-8pm in the Health Sciences Education Center Room 3-110.
