New Faculty Join the CTC

Four assistant professors have recently joined the CTC!

Prof. Chris Bartel in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, who works on first-principles quantum chemical calculations and data-driven approaches to design and discover inorganic materials for energy conversion and storage applications.

Prof. Jan-Niklas Boyn in the Department of Chemistry, who works towards the development of multi-level correlated electronic structure algorithms, and the simulation of molecules, materials and chemical processes with applications to quantum information science, carbon capture and storage, and metalloenzymatic and metallocluster catalysis.

Prof. Kade Head-Marsden in the Department of Chemistry, who focuses on method development towards predictions for correlated molecular systems undergoing complex environmental interactions with applications in chemistry, physics, materials, and quantum information science.

Prof. Melissa Ramirez in the Department of Chemistry, who focuses on creating innovative solutions to challenges in organic synthesis and catalysis at the bench and at the computer.

Welcome Chris, Nik, Kade, and Melissa!
