Alex Gillett received his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2019, under the supervision of Professor Sir Richard Friend.

He is now investigating the properties of exctions in organic donor-acceptor type molecules, with a particular focus on their spin properties and mechanisms for spin-state interconversion.
