Prachi Sharma Receives 2019-20 Overend Award in Physical Chemistry
April 21, 2020 -- Prachi Sharma (graduate student, Gagliardi group) received the 2019-20 Overend Award in Physical Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry. This award honors outstanding physical chemistry graduate student researchers, and Prachi is the award winner in the theory/computation area.
Prachi's research focuses on multiconfiguration pair-density functional theory (MC-PDFT), specifically making it more user friendly. Prachi is also interested in chemical applications and catalysis and is studying molecules such as benzene and permanganate that are challenging for novel electronic structure theories.
