Tyler Josephson Accepts Faculty Position

July 15, 2020 -- Tyler Josephson, who was a postdoctoral researcher in the Siepmann group, recently started as an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). At UMBC, he will be launching the ATOMS lab (AI & Theory-Oriented Molecular Science). The lab will use artificial intelligence and molecular simulation to engineer solutions for a cleaner environment.

While in CTC, Tyler’s research focused on using molecular modeling and machine learning to understand adsorption thermodynamics in complex systems. He co-authored numerous publications and was featured in a Meet CTC profile. Tyler received a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2011 and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 2017.
