Get a head start on connecting with top talent at the CSE Career Fair Kickoff—an exclusive opportunity for CSE Career Services sponsors to begin networking with students in a relaxed, informal setting before the fall CSE Career Fair.

Weather permitting, this event will take place in the Lind Hall Courtyard, where each sponsor will host a table to meet students, answer questions, and share information about their organization and upcoming opportunities.

This event sees high student engagement, leading to more meaningful conversations during the career fair and throughout the recruiting season. It’s a great way to boost your brand visibility, build early interest, and strengthen your hiring pipeline.

As an added incentive, students who visit sponsor tables will have a chance to earn a CSE-branded padfolio, courtesy of CSE Career Services.

CSE First Year Student Major and Career Exploration Fair
Monday, Sept. 28
Noon–4 p.m.
Coffman Memorial Union, Great Hall

The CSE Major and Career Exploration Fair offers a unique opportunity for your organization to connect with more than 1,700 motivated first-year students who are eager to explore potential career paths and learn about various industries. All College of Science and Engineering first-year students are required to attend, making this event a prime chance to build brand awareness and establish a strong campus presence early in the academic year.

By participating, you'll showcase your company’s brand to a diverse student audience, highlight internship opportunities tailored for first-year students, and build relationships with future talent. Engaging with students at this stage of their academic journey allows you to create a pipeline of well-prepared candidates who are already familiar with your organization’s values and opportunities. You'll also have the chance to share your industry knowledge and expertise—positioning your company as a leader and inspiring students to consider careers in your field.

For-profit employer registration: $300
Nonprofit employer registration: $150

Registration includes one table with space for three representatives, parking, and lunch.

CSE Treats and Talent
Tuesday, Oct. 13
1–3:30 p.m.
Coffman Memorial Union, Mississippi Room (third floor)

Boo! Add a little fright—and a lot of fun—to your fall recruiting with CSE Treats and Talent, our Halloween-themed networking and branding event! Students will be invited to connect with your company in a lively, festive atmosphere where you can:

• Share current job and internship opportunities
• Increase brand visibility in a high-energy, themed environment
• Build early connections to support future recruiting efforts

We encourage employers to join the fun by decorating booths, bringing treats, and wearing costumes (think "trunk or treat" style). Students will trick-or-treat at your booth and vote for their favorite display. The winner will receive a $425 discount toward a future CSE Career Fair booth!

Costumes are optional—you’re welcome to focus your creativity on booth decor instead. Treats, candy, or swag are highly recommended.

General attendance: $100

CSE Java & Jobs: Networking With Donuts and Coffee
Spring 2027
9:30 a.m.–noon
Keller Hall, Atrium (main floor)

This brand-new spring event offers a unique opportunity for your company to connect with tech students across STEM fields, including computer science, computer engineering, data science and electrical engineering.

Students will engage with employers in a fun, welcoming atmosphere where you can:

• Build early connections with students
• Increase brand visibility in a festive, informal setting
• Share job, co-op and internship opportunities

 Java & Jobs is a niche-themed networking and branding event designed for employers seeking to engage with tech-focused science and engineering students.

Coffee and donuts will be provided to students at check-in.

The event is customizable, and employers are encouraged to use their booth in ways that best support their recruiting goals. You are welcome to bring food, swag and company materials for promotion.

Participate in CSE Career Services' biannual Resume Review event to help student prepare their resumes.

Help students practice their interviewing skills by participating in the Employer Practice Interview event. Employer Practice Interviews are offered each fall and spring semester before the CSE Career Fair. Each event typically serves between 50 and 120 students.

Through the Maroon and Gold Network, you can help students virtually with career exploration, informational interviews, job shadowing, career advice and more.

Participate on a panel with other professionals to discuss your career, your industry, or to offer general career advice to current students. Panels are offered every year on a variety of topics, such as career exploration and job search strategies.

Host career preparation workshops on resume writing, job search strategies, career fair preparation, networking, interviewing, and job offer negotiation. We look for recruiters to provide an employer’s perspective and help answer students’ questions.

CSE Career Services collaborates with local organizations to offer company site visits for current students. Through the site visit program, employers can host a group of science and engineering students for a tour and brief presentation. This is a great way to connect with students and provide career-related information about your organization. If the location requires travel by bus, there will be a fee of $500.
