Inaugural Innovation Impact Case Award Given to ME Assistant Professor Sayan Biswas

The Innovation Impact Case Award is the most prestigious award given by the Office of the Vice President for Research. It recognizes research that has led to significant impact outside of academia and has made a meaningful difference in our communities. ME Assistant Professor Sayan Biswas' submission "Plasma Technologies for Clean Transportation" is one of two winning projects from an interdisciplinary pool of applicants from across the University of Minnesota system.

The Innovation Impact Case Award celebrates work that solves challenges benefiting individuals, communities, and organizations. Innovation and impact are defined broadly and inclusive of work in all disciplines. The award comes with a $10,000 cash prize.
