Aditya Bhan Wins Faculty Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Advising

CEMS congratulates Professor Aditya Bhan on being named one of the two recipients of the 2025 University of Minnesota Faculty Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Advising.

This award, presented annually by the Office of Postdoctoral Initiatives, recognizes faculty who demonstrate exceptional commitment to mentoring and supporting postdoctoral fellows, a critical component of a successful postdoctoral experience.

In reflecting on the honor, Professor Bhan shared, “First and foremost, it reflects what each postdoc brought to the group, what they accomplished while they were in our group, and what they have accomplished since then in their independent careers.” He added that mentoring has been one of the highest privileges of his academic career, inspired by mentors who once nurtured his own passion for science.
