Cari Dutcher Receives Charles E. Bowers Faculty Teaching Award

CEMS congratulates Professor Cari Dutcher on receiving the Charles E. Bowers Faculty Teaching Award. This honor recognizes faculty who demonstrate sustained excellence in teaching and a deep commitment to student learning and success.

Professor Dutcher is known for her engaging and impactful teaching, which draws on her expertise in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Her research focuses on complex fluids and multiphase flows, systems such as aerosols, emulsions, foams, and polymer solutions that are rich in interfaces and relevant to everyday life. Her group uses advanced microfluidic platforms, flow measurements, and mathematical modeling to study phenomena across environmental, industrial, and biomedical applications.
