Satish Kumar Elected to Serve as Future Chair of APS Division of Fluid Dynamics
Satish Kumar was recently elected Vice-Chair of the American Physical Society Division of Fluid Dynamics (APS-DFD), beginning a three-year leadership path that will culminate with his service as Chair. He will serve as Vice-Chair for one year starting in November, followed by Chair-Elect and then Chair in the subsequent two years.
With over 3,500 members, APS-DFD is the premier professional society in fluid dynamics and the third largest division of APS, bringing together experts across engineering, mathematics, earth and environmental sciences, and physics.
This election is a recognition of Satish’s contributions to the field and an exciting opportunity for him to help shape the direction of the division. Congratulations, Satish!
