Creating Accounts
CSE Labs
For accessing CSE Labs instructional resources.
- Submit a CSE Labs account request form.
Department-Specific Accounts
For accessing department specific resources. Your department will tell you when you need to request one.
- Computer Science & Engineering: submit a CS account request form.
- School of Physics & Astronomy faculty: for instructions, check the SPA intranet.
Sign In Credentials
Sign into a CSE Lab computer with your University Internet ID and password.
File Storage
It is recommended that anyone working on time sensitive projects (such as students working on course assignments) also save backups or copies of the project to Google Drive when applicable. For more information, see the Storage Options self-help guide.
CSE Labs Process Limits
The number of processes you can use—process limit— on a CSE Labs machine are limited per login session and independent of each other. For more information, see the Manage Process Limits self-help guide.
Account End of Life
CSE Labs
- Students who have not graduated and who are not registered for current or future classes do not get access to CSE Lab computers.
- Alumni do not get access to CSE Lab computers.
- Caution: After 1 year of inactivity or upon a person leaving the University, accounts and home directories are purged.
