UPDATE: Planned Maintenance: March 12, 2025

URGENT UPDATE: Due to a DARPA visit, the Keller Hall Datacenter outage originally scheduled for March 11th, 2025 has been rescheduled to March 12th, 2025.

We will be performing a hardware upgrade in the Keller Hall Datacenter to increase its power capacity. This upgrade will require a full shutdown of the datacenter and a temporary power outage affecting much of the first floor of Keller Hall. The maintenance will be in effect from 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Post-Mortem: Temporary Failure in External SSH Access

On April 21st we were informed by users that SSH access to some CSE-IT managed systems was no longer available from sources external to the university. Access was available from within the university and while using the university’s VPN service. The issue was resolved on April 23rd.

2/28/25 - Service Degradation: CSE network file servers are experiencing slowdowns, causing significant slowdowns and login issues in CSE Labs. Engineers have identified the issue and are working toward resolution.

As we approach End Of Life for operating systems running on CSE-IT managed machines, CSE-IT will be starting a concentrated effort to upgrade any machines running such an OS to a more recent and supported version.
