A variety of devices and equipment that CSE undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty can reserve and check out on a temporary basis.

In the interest of fairness, CSE-IT strives to maintain the availability of our loaner equipment for all individuals in CSE. Therefore, CSE-IT reserves the sole right to deny any loaner request for reasons related, but not limited to, availability.

What’s included

• Reservable Equipment including laptops, tablet computers, cameras, and virtual reality headsets available to all CSE students, staff, and faculty.
  • Device availability varies by type: standard equipment is available for all members of CSE at any time, while course-specific equipment has requirements that must be met for checkout.
• Up to 14-day checkouts for standard equipment.
• Term-length checkouts for course-specific equipment.
• Coordination with units to add and remove equipment from the loaner pool

What’s not included

• Loaning equipment to students, staff, or faculty outside of CSE.
• Checkouts of standard equipment lasting longer than 14 days.
• Checkouts of course-specific equipment unless you are enrolled in the appropriate course or authorized for checkout by the controlling faculty member
• Delivery of equipment
• Funding or purchasing of equipment for loaner pools

What you need to do

• Read the CSE loaner equipment program Loaner Program Terms of Use.
• Plan accordingly.  The CSE loaner equipment program experiences high levels of demand and CSE-IT cannot guarantee the availability of any equipment at any given time without prior reservation.
• Fill out the CSE Loaner Equipment Request Form to request equipment
• Bring your UCard at time of pickup.
• Return equipment on or before return date.
