Standard Networking
Provides standard network-related request fulfillment and incident resolution on behalf of CSE-IT-supported units.
What's Included
- Wired and wireless networking support, including peer- and partner-level interaction with OIT networking personnel.
- DHCP assignment.
- VLAN assignment and management.
- VPN provisioning.
- IP addressing and hostnames (DNS registration).
- Configuration and maintenance of OIT-provided firewall.
- Custom wall-to-CPU cabling, on request.
- Network-related troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Facilitation of remote access via DHCP, DNS, and/or firewall configurations, plus any configuration assistance necessary on CSE-IT supported desktops.
What's Not Included
- OIT-provided network infrastructure is maintained by OIT, and incidents may be beyond CSE-IT’s control.
- Instruction- or research-related networking needs are addressed via other CSE-IT services.
