CSE-IT provides consulting, advice, and implementation for Research Data Management for Researchers in the College of Science and Engineering.

What's Included

  • Consulting to find the appropriate storage options for research data.
  • Requesting Research Data Storage (RDS), CSE Project storage for NFS, and SMB protocols on behalf of researchers
  • Assisting and advising on migrating data from local and network sources.
  • Configuring permissions to ensure data security
  • Providing assistance on data workflow and data lifecycles.
  • Basic data classification and security consulting for instruction and research support.

What's Not Included

  • Fine grained control of permissions on Windows RDS shares.
  • In-depth security reviews are handled by the Information Security Service
  • Management of data with regulatory requirements
