Paula Chakravartty is James Weldon Johnson Professor of Media Studies at New York University. She has published widely. Her current projects include a co-edited volume with Denise Ferreira da Silva, An Anti-Colonial Feminist Critique of Capital A Contribution to the Critique of the Global Political Economy forthcoming with Duke University Press, and a monograph in progress, Media and Economic Violence. Chakravartty is the Co-Director of the Critical Racial Anti-Colonial Study Co-Lab ( CRACS Co-Lab) and the Editor of the journal Communication, Culture and Critique. Chakravartty serves as the President of the AAUP-NYU.
