Resolved: Service Degradation: Project spaces

At about 10:30 AM on 4/2, CSE-IT uncovered a stability issue regarding several project space servers. The affected file servers should now be available, and no further reboots are planned.
Two server nodes may experience some degradation in performance from the weekend of April 3 to April 4 as they complete the final steps to restore normal performance.

Beginning at about 4 PM on 3/10, VOLE may be intermittently unavailable while security updates to underlying network infrastructure are underway.

On February 12, 2021 CSE-IT is rolling out updates to remote connection resources (VOLE, FastX, ssh) to require Duo Authentication. Remote connections may be unstable during the updates.

At 6 a.m. on December 18, 2020, VOLE was down due to bad updates.
Vole should now be up and functioning as of 8 a.m. We are still working on the update for Vole2D but this shouldn't impact performance.

Resolved: Service Degradation: Electron-based programs in VOLE

In the morning, CSE-IT made an update to VOLE that prevents electron-based programs (including Atom and VSCode) from running. VOLE can still be used for other, non-electron based applications.
