Apollo is working. Atlas is in progress. On February 12, 2021, CSE-IT received reports of issues connecting to the atlas and apollo CSE Labs servers. These servers will be unavailable while we investigate the cause(s) of the issue.

Using Duo Authentication With Remote Connections To CSE Systems

Two-Factor authentication using Duo is required for all remote logins to CSE Linux systems.

On February 12, 2021 CSE-IT is rolling out updates to remote connection resources (VOLE, FastX, ssh) to require Duo Authentication. Remote connections may be unstable during the updates.
Resolved: Service Outage: VOLE 2D inaccessible

CSE-IT encountered a network issue that prevented a critical configuration change. As a result, VOLE 2D is currently inaccessible. We estimate the VOLE 2D service will be restored by 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10.

As of Feb. 8, and as part of our ongoing efforts to protect you and your information, a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is required for access to CSE’s Virtual Online Linux Environment (VOLE).
Share Google Drive files with non-Google accounts

As of Jan. 7, all University accounts, including in the Health Sciences, can invite people who don’t have Google accounts to collaborate on University Google Drive files easily and securely.

Resolved: Service Degradation: VOLE is in degraded mode

At 6 a.m. on December 18, 2020, VOLE was down due to bad updates.
Vole should now be up and functioning as of 8 a.m. We are still working on the update for Vole2D but this shouldn't impact performance.
