Kevin earned B.S. degrees in Computer Science and in Sociology with a minor in Mathematics, is an alumnus of the M.S.S.E. program, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. all from the University of Minnesota.
Biography
Kevin Wendt is the Director of Graduate Studies for the Master of Science in Software Engineering program, run in coordination with the University of Minnesota Software Engineering Center.
Kevin is a member of the teaching faculty in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. In that capacity, he teaches undergraduate and graduate CSCI courses, serves as the department's Teaching Assistant (TA) Supervisor, and acts as the faculty liaison for the Senior Design Project course, interfacing with the external company sponsors and hiring the adjunct project managers for the course.
Kevin's research focus is software engineering education. Current work is focused on evaluating online education and training for software engineering professionals.
Kevin is a member of IEEE and ACM, an Elite Umpire with USA Softball, and a Professional Registered Parliamentarian in the National Association of Parliamentarians.
Kevin enjoys his time away from work with his wife Elizabeth, daughter Elliott, and son Davitt, as well as their dog Duncan.
