Outage Description

At around 3:45pm, CSE-IT became aware of an issue involving wired network connectivity. This issue is preventing network access from computers in Keller Hall. This affects all services that require a network connection.  OIT/NTS is aware of this issue and is actively investigating.  We will update this notice as we receive more information. WiFi appears to be unaffected at this time.

Outage Updates

  • 08/12/2020, 7:19 p.m. Outage Resolved. A remaining issue that prevented several computers in Keller Hall from connecting to the NFS server has been resolved. This has resolved the remaining network connectivity issues for computers in Keller Hall. This issue was resolved at 5:18 PM. No action should be necessary to restore network connectivity to the affected computers. If you are still experiencing the symptoms described above, please contact CSE-IT immediately at csehelp@umn.edu or 612-625-0876.
  • 08/12/2020, 5:21 p.m. OIT/NTS is still investigating the remaining cause(s) of this issue and we will update this notice once service is restored.
