CSE Labs: Print Over WiFi
College of Science and Engineering (CSE) students, staff, and instructors are able to print in CSE-IT managed printing locations using your personal laptop that is connected to the Twin Cities campus eduroam WiFi network. You can also print from remote locations when you are connected to the University of Minnesota's Virtual Private Network (VPN).
There are two methods for WiFi Printing in CSE Labs:
- WiFi Printing With CampusCloud Print
- Good for general printing
- WiFi Printing From a Personal Computer
- Good for printing complex PDFs with multiple images
WiFi Printing With CampusCloud Print
- Follow instructions on WiFi Printing: Print from a Personal Computer to a WiFi Print Location using CampusCloud Print.
- Visit any CSE Labs printing location to print.
- Important: you will be charged Gopher GOLD to print at different WiFi printing locations. To use your printing allowance, you must go to a CSE Labs printing location.
- Your printing allowance or Gopher GOLD will not be charged until you print your document.
- ERROR: LOW BALANCE means your U Card has an insufficient amount of CSE print allowance or Gopher GOLD.
WiFi Printing From a Personal Computer
- Connect to eduroam or VPN.
- Download and install CSE specific print drivers.
- Windows Printer Drivers
- Mac Printer Drivers
- Follow instructions on WiFi Printing: Send a Document to a Managed Printing Location.
- Important: Select CSE_BW_Printer or CSE_Color_Printer for black and white or color printing.
- Visit any CSE Labs printing location to print.
- Your printing allowance or Gopher GOLD will not be charged until you print your document.
- ERROR: LOW BALANCE means your U Card has an insufficient amount of CSE print allowance or Gopher GOLD.
