CSE Labs Printing

College of Science and Engineering (CSE) students, staff, and instructors who have a CSE Labs account are able to print at any CSE computer lab or classroom.

Highlights

• Printers and scanners are located in computer labs
• $75 printing allowance per semester
• Payment by Gopher GOLD
• Color printing available in some locations

Printing Allowance

Students, staff, and instructors with active CSE Labs accounts are given a $75 allowance on their U Card each semester.  This allowance can only be used to print in CSE Labs.

Once the allowance is used up, you can still print by adding funds to your U Card. Payment accepted for printing is Gopher GOLD, which can be added to your U Card at a:

• Cash-to-Gopher GOLD Stations with cash
• UCard office with cash or check
• Online ($2.00 convenience fee applies)

Refund Policy

When a customer pays for a print and the print job fails due to printer error, we will work with the customer to reprint the job at no charge. To help accommodate this, please contact csehelp@umn.edu.

We are not able to provide cash refunds per University U Card policy:

Gopher GOLD Value is not cash refundable and does not transfer between University of Minnesota coordinate campuses.

Troubleshooting Print Problems with PDFs

The majority of the printing problems that we encounter with our Printing service occur when printing PDFs. These issues can typically be remedied by adjusting the printing process.

If you encounter a problem when printing your PDF, use Adobe Reader and try printing your PDF as an image. If you have any questions about this or need additional help, please contact csehelp@umn.edu.
