The inaugural Fine Theoretical Physics Institute Larkin Awards have been announced. The award for a senior researcher goes to Professor Patrick A. Lee of Massachusetts Institute of Technology "for pioneering and wide-reaching research in strongly-correlated systems, in particular theories of the quantum transport phenomena in mesoscopic and superconducting systems, and for his standing in the community." The award for a junior researcher goes to Liang Fu, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, "for seminal works on 3D topological insulators and odd-parity topological superconductors, crystalline topological insulators, Majorana zero modes, and for being an intellectual leader of his generation."
