MnRI Makerspace Access & Reservations (UMN Users Only)
The MnRI Makerspace in Nils Hasselmo Hall 1-120 and 1-130 is a space for every part of robotics research: A conference room, whiteboards, and shared offices enhance robotic design efforts; common hand tools and shop power tools enable custom robot fabrication; 3D printers and a laser cutter accelerate rapid prototyping; an augmented reality Cave and a motion capture environment enable novel research experiments across a variety of applications.
This space is for students actively involved in robotics research or projects, either through the Robotics M.S. program or through the undergraduate robotics club. We will consider interested students and researchers with other affiliations on a case-by-case basis, contingent on equipment availability.
