This page provides faculty with access to the Space Request Form and outlines the rules and review process for submitting requests.
📝 Submit a Space Request
Faculty members may submit proposals for the following: All submissions must include a written proposal using the required template. Incomplete proposals will not be reviewed.
Additional lab space
Additional office space
Student workspace
Relocation to another space
📄 Proposal Requirements
Each proposal must include:
Description of current space allocations
Type and justification for requested space
Proposal document (PDF or Word)
Timeline and funding/resource considerations
👥 Review Committee
The Space Allocation Committee is composed of faculty members who do not currently hold space in MnRI, to maintain fairness and avoid conflicts of interest.
The committee meets quarterly (every 3 months) to review submitted proposals.
The MnRI Director reviews all proposals and recommendations from the committee.
📅 Administration & Coordination
MnRI Administration will:
Coordinate committee meetings
Distribute proposals and recommendations
Communicate decisions to faculty
