Introduction to Intelligent Robotic Systems

The Introduction to Intelligent Robotic Systems (CSCI 5551) course, taught by Professor Karthik Desingh, recently introduced robot arms for student use, and the “Real Robot Challenge” is a team-based competition to see who can stack the most cubes within two minutes. Teams must first detect the cubes and then plan and execute their stacking strategies. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering provided the instructional funding for the arms, and the Minnesota Robotics Institute provided the space and support for the training sessions.
