Restrictions and Guidelines

Department-based celebrations will meet all safety guidelines outlined by the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Health. Capacity will be limited under social distancing guidelines. Each event will be livestreamed for friends and family. Family and friends may be physically on campus to congratulate graduates after the ceremony as long as everyone is following all social distance guidelines.

Masks and social distancing will be required both outdoors and indoors given current protocols. No food or beverages will be served. There will be no hand shaking. A professional photographer will be available to take each graduate's photo.
