AEM Colloquium Series: Department Head Terrence Meyer

The first meeting of the Fall 2026 Seminar Series (AEM 8000) will be a welcome speech from AEM Department Head, Professor Terry Meyer.

Professor Meyer will introduce the department and briefly give an overview of his research interests. He conducts research in advanced diagnostics and high-speed aero-thermal flows to help advance propulsion, power, and energy systems. These systems require a detailed understanding of highly dynamic, multi-phase, reacting, high-speed, and non-equilibrium flows over a wide range of temperatures and pressures. Such understanding is needed to develop novel devices that can be transitioned to practical use for improved efficiency, reduced emissions, and compact/robust architectures.
