The University is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and productive environment for all members of our community. We are committed to protecting the privacy and legal rights of our students, faculty, and staff under the law. 

The University has prepared and will continue to update guidance for University community members regarding ongoing federal actions in Minnesota.

Please use the resources linked below to keep yourself informed about your rights and to maintain personal safety. 

Federal Enforcement in Minnesota  provides overall understanding and information on issues regarding campus safety, civic engagement, personal safety, and classroom instruction. It also nswers to frequently asked questions.  

Guidance for faculty and staff has been put together by the Office of Human Resources for faculty, frontline and administrative staff, and student workers with University resources. It includes immigration-related resources, employee resources, supervisor resources, student safety and mental health resources, and contact information by campus. 

Guidance for faculty and instructors from the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost has information on instruction delivery, excused absences, and a supportive environment. 

Site visits by immigration officials provides information on types of visits and what to do in case of a visit.

Students Legal Services offers advice and legal representation to eligible students at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

Mental health resources are available through various modalities for all our students.
